My name is Mark Anthony Jenkins, Founder and President of Black Writers Guild of America. I personally want to thank you for visiting this website to learn more about this organization.
To better establish your understanding of a guild and the history of such, I have provided the following information as per wikipedia.org. (Click here)
Now that you have a better understanding of a guild and it's history, here are my reasons for establishing the Black Writers Guild of America. To increase content and market share for all African-American writers, to afford opportunities for advancement for all African-American writers and to acknowledge the literary achievements of all African-American writers nation wide.
If you would like more detailed information about the Black Writers Guild of America, please contact me at the national office in New York City. You are also welcome to attend our monthly membership meetings around the tri-state area.
For authors who may be interested I have secured exhibitor booths at the following literary events. The Queens Book Fair, The Long Island Harlem Book Fair, Sisters Uptown Bookstore Book Fair, Self Publish Expo, Circle of Sisters Expo and the Nyack African-American Book Fair.
It will be my pleasure to greet you in person at our upcoming meetings and events. Upcoming Events I am very excited about the opportunity to meet all potential members.
Do not hesitate to call me at 1-718-993-2999 or email me at markanthonyjenkins@bwga.org. I welcome your questions, your comments and your ideas.
